Monday Afternoon
I have been very tentative about the start of summer, but so far it has been wonderful. After every final, I was able to share the last school-related moments with the people I spent everyday with during the year. But, Saturday truly signaled the beginning of summer as three SAT2’s were completed (not sure if completely successfully though); putting a smile on a friend’s face was also a great plus. Sunday proved to be what being a licensed teenager on summer break is all about. I did meet a great apple salesman though who happens to be a rapper who was amused by mine and Bridget’s plans to adventure this summer. Best of all, he blogs: http://rosaryrap.blogspot.com/
Today deserves its own paragraph…it was actually the first adventure:
Katy, Bridget, Neha, Berni, and I started off our career day with lunch with Mr. Goldsmith followed by a nice drive listening to his music deep into the valley. When we got to the studio of the Office, we were greeted by a very confused Tad. “So Tad what do you in your trailer?”, “Um well I get kind of bored so I just surf the internet.” He seemed kind of lost, but he did show us the parking lot where they film. Greg Daniels quickly emerged from the fake bathroom in the middle of our tour and took over. We followed him around the set, amazed as we each took turns taking a picture sitting in Michael Scott’s desk. The highlight was definitely visiting the writers. I think they have the coolest job ever, sharing creative ideas while sitting around a table of computers with people they really get along with. I was really honored that they actually were interested in looking up my blog. If any of them happen to come across it again….YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! I hope Mindy will actually manage to get Chris Pine and Robert Pattinson into the show like she really wanted.
I cannot wait for this next week though:
